Shit, smoking is really bad, and I've been doing it for a little over a year now. Almost a pack every two days. You can ask them people that were at the NG Montreal Meet-ups.

I told Luis' sister I would quit right after the meet, that I couldn't quit now because I had to go smoke with Luis, yet I'm still smoking.

Any tips, advice, councils, on how to stop?

I work in a Pharmacy, so I could pretty much get them "Stop Smoking patch and gums" for free, but I just don't trust them. Especially not the patches.

So, anyone? :(

No need for 13 years that never touched a cigarette input either, unless it's the way your daddy quit.

Take the gum, I don't know how they make smoking addictive, but I quit, even though I only smoked for about 6 months, It just took a shitload of willpower.

I can tell juicy fruit gum doesn't work. I always end up smoking while chewing the gum.

I smoke too. But I never do it regularly. I've heard the best way to quit is to do it right away. But it's very hard. Because if you just do it less and try to do it less.
Then you're still smoking.
Better ways is probably then to do things so you can't think about it. Like excesize.
Just try to prepare yourself that you're quitting.

Well, all the patches do is give you a dose of nicotine so you don't feel withdrawal symptoms. It gives you smaller doses with each patch. Eventually you don't even have a need to smoke.

I have a friend who took this new drug from Pfizer that lets your brain create its own nicotine. He went from smoking two packs a day to about four cigarettes in a week.

Gum and patches never worked for me. You can also get addicted to the patches and gum because, it's basically like supporting Nicotine...with Nicotine. It's not the best way to stop smoking. Also, you're only smoking half a pack a day. To me that's not a lot. I smoked a pack a day or more, but now I am down to 5. Just try and cut down over time.
